YPS ‘Conquering MY Everest’ campaign: 4th March to 28th June (sign up today)

The YPS Everest Base Camp Community Challenge team heads off to Mt Everest on 17th April 2019 (Youth Homelessness Matters Day) & we are inviting YOU to join us through the ‘Conquering MY Everest’ campaign.
The #CME campaign invites community members to:

  1. Pick a personal challenge they want to conquer- it might be learning a new language, learning how to ride a bike, give up smoking, lose a few kilos, put on a few kilos or take over the world!
  2. Sign-up to the #CME & pay $20 to receive a #CME pack. The pack contains all the information you need to be part of the online community campaign & share your journey with other participants.
  3. Help YPS spread the message that Youth Homelessness Matters & our community supports YPS in our goal to END YOUTH HOMELESSNESS.
  4. Conquer your personal challenge at the same time the YPS Everest Team conquers the Mountain.

  • Receive Rego Form and payment form via email
  • Send to ramona@yps.org.au and confirm payment

Everest Base Camp Community Challenge: 17th April 2019

Port City Bowling Club and YPS are partnering to bring this exciting challenge to our community. Supported by HUMA Charity Challenge- we’re taking on Mount Everest Base Camp in April 2019 with brave & committed community members already signing up to join us on the challenge of a lifetime. YPS & our partner’s mission is to raise a minimum of $200,000 through fundraising events throughout the year.

 


Every step helps us build the future our young people deserve.

 

The YPS Everest Base Camp Community Project is an exciting challenge for our brave participants- not only through the journey they will undertake trekking to Everest Base Camp but through the fundraising challenge they also take on to help us fight youth homelessness.

All money raised will be donated to YPS to help us develop targeted responses to children and young people experiencing homelessness in our region. It takes a community to make a difference & together we can end youth homelessness!

Youth Homelessness Matters Day 2019: 17th April 2019

National Youth Homelessness Matters Day 2019 (YHMD2019) is on Wednesday 17th April 2019. YHMD is a National campaign designed to raise awareness of the issues related to Child & Youth Homelessness across Australia & bring our communities together to End Youth Homelessness. There will be events & campaigns run across NSW to ensure the message gets out there & to celebrate the strengths of our children & young people.

This year YPS will be holding small events in Kempsey & Port Macquarie – while the rest of the YPS Team fly’s out for the Everest Base Camp Community Challenge- further information will come so keep an eye on this site. Also check out YPS’s information on the ‘Conquering MY Everest’ campaign & sign up to join in.
